Modern, Cool Nerd
52 % Nerd, 65% Geek, 30% Dork | For The Record:
A Nerd is someone who is passionate about learning/being smart/academia.
A Geek is someone who is passionate about some particular area or subject, often an obscure or difficult one.
A Dork is someone who has difficulty with common social expectations/interactions.
You scored better than half in Nerd and Geek, earning you the title of: Modern, Cool Nerd.
Nerds didn't use to be cool, but in the 90's that all changed. It used to be that, if you were a computer expert, you had to wear plaid or a pocket protector or suspenders or something that announced to the world that you couldn't quite fit in. Not anymore. Now, the intelligent and geeky have eked out for themselves a modicum of respect at the very least, and "geek is chic." The Modern, Cool Nerd is intelligent, knowledgable and always the person to call in a crisis (needing computer advice/an arcane bit of trivia knowledge). They are the one you want as your lifeline in Who Wants to Be a Millionaire (or the one up there, winning the million bucks)!
Congratulations!
Also, you might want to check out some of my other tests if you're interested in any of the following:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Professional Wrestling
Love & Sexuality
America/Politics
Thanks Again! -- THE NERD? GEEK? OR DORK? TEST | |
My test tracked 3 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender: | You scored higher than 99% on nerdiness | | You scored higher than 99% on geekosity | | You scored higher than 99% on dork points |

This particular waste of oxygen used to be mayor of our sleepy little borough, until she decided she *really* wanted to get close to her spiritual inspiration, G.W. Bush, and toddled off to Washington DC and cocktail parties with David Frum.
Unfortunately, the federal Conservatives are parachuting her back in to hopefully snap up the MP seat for London North Centre, wherein I make my home. She certainly doesn't have my vote- that belongs to Megan Walker, the first politician to ever come to my door for a natter and a cuppa- but given that this riding is 60% transient Uni-Stoodies who don't vote anyway, and 35% rich conservative bastards, I imagine she'll be welcomed back into power with three cheers and a tiger.
I provide this link, for a precis on the situation by someone much wittier than I. |

I am, of course, not wholly satisfied by any of them, but they represent many man-hours worth of ass-busting, so...
This one grew out of a need to have a suitable background for another piece...

For the next batch, I need to make a brief apology to Ben- I tweaked your Bacon Comics logo- okay, a little more than tweaked. Say rather, "completely redid it." Basically, I needed something that would leave more space for the art. If you like it, I can send you the .tif file.
These are all based on various actual comics covers- I've included the originals so that the interested viewer can contrast and compare.

Or perhaps something a little more modern:

Still a little out of date? Okay, so it was twenty years old. Well, how about something from two months ago?
VS.
also available in individual covers:
AND
And finally, someone commissioned this from me in May, then didn't pony up the dough, so I kept it. It was a commission for a Harry Potter fanboy, so that explains the subject matter...

There, I'm spent. (whew!) |

Bat out of Hell III is frakkin' fabulous album, full of classically pompous, operatic, prime Meatloaffery. Jim Steinman is the greatest damn songwriter in the universe (for a given value of 'great'). |

Had loads of fun, but -man_, do I ache. I warmed up first, but between the lunges and furious sweeping, you really do end up working up a sweat. Am in the process of drawing a hot bath, where I shall marinate until my muscles stop throbbing.
Ben- I have two words of advice before your first lesson: "stretch" and "out". :)
For those considering trying the game for the first time; don't be too put out by my moaning; I know this type of ache, and it's the "feel stronger afterwards" ache. It really is quite a simple game to pick up, and if you can kneel without tipping over, you can play this game and enjoy yourself. Several curling virgins at the event were amazed at how quick they picked it up and how much fun it was. |
